Bring your convention, experience the unconventional

Meetings and conventions in Cleveland are anything but conventional. The city is emerging as an exciting meetings destination following over $3.5 billion in infrastructure development.

Abundant Accommodations

Downtown Cleveland offers 18 hotels with nearly 5,000 rooms, all within a 15-minute walk of the convention center. Recent openings include:

  • Kimpton Schofield Hotel: 122 rooms; 3,800 square feet of event space
  • Drury Plaza Hotel: 189 rooms; 3,900 square feet of meeting space
  • Hilton Cleveland Downtown: 600-room; 55,000 square feet of meeting space

Meeting Facilities

Opened in 2013, the 750,000-square-foot Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland is a high-tech complex that includes direct access to the Global Center for Health Innovation, Cleveland Public Auditorium and Hilton Cleveland Downtown as well as:

  • 225,000 square feet of exhibit space
  • 35 meeting rooms totaling 93,000 square feet
  • 35,000-square-foot ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Erie

For unique events, planners can choose from music venues like the world’s only Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to arts and culture sites like the Cleveland Museum of Art or sports venues including Quicken Loans Arena.

Dine and unwind

Cleveland’s entertainment and dining scene is thriving. Options include restaurants like Mabel’s BBQ, owned by James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Symon; waterfront dining in the redeveloped Flats East Bank; and neighborhoods filled with ethnic eateries and breweries.

Visitors can also explore urban outdoor offerings including kayaking on Lake Erie or biking and hiking in the Cleveland Metroparks or Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
