Chapter News

President’s Corner

by Jessica Levin –  NYPCMA President / Seven Degrees Communications

Somehow the first quarter of 2017 has flown with a number of successful events for the chapter. On April 6th we celebrated GMID and recognized our contributions to the industry and the global economy.

The next few months are sure to be exciting. On May 24th we are bringing back the Lip Sync Battle which was incredibly popular last year. I’m personally planning on getting into the spirit and rockin’ out on the stage.

We are lucky enough to have PCMA’s Education Conference hosted in NYC in June. As part of our ongoing relationship with the Bowery Mission, we will be helping all attendees created “blessing bags” for the homeless. Look for volunteer opportunities for this event.

Speaking of volunteering…this is one of the best ways to get involved to get the most value out of your PCMA membership. Whether you join a committee or simply sign-up for a “tiny task” you will be helping make the chapter a better place for learning and building relationships.

The board is working hard to create programs that make your lives easier. From education to networking to chances to demonstrate leadership, we are committed to our members.   I’m very proud of what the board has accomplished so far and look forward to the rest of the year.
