Overview:
You asked, we listened. PCMA New York Area Chapter will be hosting a Career Advisement workshop to support you in your professional journey. Whether you are currently looking for a new opportunity or looking to advance your career, this workshop will help you stand out from the crowd.
Our program will be divided into two, 30-minute sessions and YOU get to decide what you want to learn. You’ll have the opportunity to choose from 3 topics to participate in:
TOPIC #1 – Storytelling for Interviews: The stories people tell themselves and the ones to share to land the job!
Anxiety and nerves are commonplace when job interviewing, particularly in the face of a worldwide pandemic. At the one-year mark, with entire industries decimated, people are struggling to feel grounded both in their personal and professional lives. This session will give you tips to present your best self while being authentic and transparent. Gain practical tips and relevant solutions to be prepared for any interview. Speaker: Ilana Tolpin Levitt
TOPIC #2 – Creating Your Digital Personal Brand
Now more than ever, creating a unique, distinct personal brand is key. Virtual positions and interviews are the new norm, so we will discuss how to separate yourself from the crowd by assessing your skillset and marketing your strengths. We will highlight how to utilize LinkedIn as your personal marketing tool and how to master ZOOM interviews. Speaker: Elizabeth McHeffey
TOPIC #3 – Salary Negotiation
Salary negotiation is an important way to increase your salary earnings when getting a new job, promotion, or performance review. Taking time to prepare for a salary negotiation will improve your chances of success. Speaker: Karen James Chopra
Which sessions will you pick? It’ll be tough to decide!
All sessions will be available on demand for ticket holders. Closed Captioning (CC) will be available for all video-on-demand
