Hi friends,

As always, I trust you are all doing well. In my last article, I talked about how great it was to attend a baseball game, to see all the people gathering for the Macy’s Firework show, and the return of face-to-face events, after a long 15 months, for NYPCMA with the Summer Mixer. Fast forward one month, and things are suddenly not as rosy. There is even discussion to bring back mask mandate. This just goes to show that we are still far from being back to “normal.” We have to continue to be safe, and to take care of ourselves and each other.  The best way to do so is to get vaccinated. So will you please roll up your sleeves if you haven’t already done so?

Even with all the challenges, NYPCMA still managed to have a very busy year to date. In addition to our annual events such as the Winter Program and Summer Mixer, we organized an Executive Forum that focused on the “Great Comeback” of meetings and event, we invited a speaker to help us find our “SPARRK,” and we put together a panel to “Advance Your Professional Journey.” If you missed any of these, please visit the NYPCMA website.

As it is the summer and many people are away, the chapter will likewise take a well deserve break.  We will be back soon with more exciting events such as our Education Day in November. In the meantime, we are looking for more volunteers to help advance the mission and objectives of our chapter.
